Return to Draft, Trade, Keeper and Waivers Questions

Hey Fellas,
I have an inquiry about an auction league (truly the best way to play
fantasy baseball). I’m in a nine team 5x5 keeper league that is fairly
competitive though owners tend to slightly overbid for top-tier players.
For example, Albert Pujols or Hanley Ramirez would likely fetch $50 in our
auction, despite the fact that most fantasy magazines would value those
players closer to $40. Please give me some keeper advice. We’re allowed
six keepers and each player’s price goes up $5 for next year. I’m
considering ten potential keepers and I’ve listed them in the order of
preference that I have along with their price for NEXT year. Please guys,
which six would you take?
1.) EVAN LONGORIA ($19)
2.) CHRIS CARPENTER ($15)
3.) MATT KEMP ($26) … Like I said, top-20 type players go for more
4.) CLAYTON KERSHAW ($13) … I really think he’s gonna bust out in 10’
5.) DUSTIN PEDROIA ($13)
6.) JOSE REYES ($30) … Hanley is being kept by another owner and I feel
like Reyes still has value b/c of positional scarcity (plus I think he’ll
bounce back in 10’)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.) TOMMY HANSON ($15) … Consider me seduced and on the Hanson bandwagon
8.) CHAD BILLINGSLEY ($16) … So high on him coming into this year, now I
dunno
9.) VICTOR MARTINEZ ($15)
10.) KENDRY MORALES ($15) … Lots of depth at 1B, that’s why he’s so low here
Who are your six? Do you think my list is pretty good overall?
Much Thanks
