And the value of King Felix >>> the value of Halladay.
The rumor I read was that those six pitchers (Bard, Bowden, Buchholz, Doubront, Hagadone, and Masterson) were on a list that also included SS Yamaico Navarro and OF Josh Reddick. Seattle would have been allowed to pick any five of those eight prospects in return for Felix. Then when Jack Z said no, Theo re-worked the deal to be a three-team deal that included San Diego, with Buchholz and A-Gon being the two main pieces headed to Seattle (along with a couple more Sox prospects), with Felix going to Boston, and Morrow, Aumont, Triunfel, and a couple more Boston prospects headed to San Diego. I'm happy that Jack didn't pull the trigger on either of those.
But I would have to think that 2.5 years of Felix would be worth more than 1.5 years of Halladay, so I'd be a little surprised of this rumor was legit.
