No don't waste an early round pick on a catcher.

You can still pick up a Top 10 catcher in the middle - late rounds.

I tell you what, I wouldn't take any big name catcher in the early rounds unless it is a given, but take a good up and coming rookie catcher like Estrada for the Atlanta because you need to get other key positions first

I don't know about that. Wouldn't you take Piazza, Posada, Lopez, or Pudge if they were still on the board in the 5th round? After those four the quality drops off to where a catcher shouldn't be taken before the 10th round.

I aim for middle to late round value from the Catcher position although I'd grab Piazza/Posada in the fifth. Not sure about Ivan and I think Javy is going to be a bust.
