Who to drop to activate beltran? (WHIR)

Postby Willy T 4 MVP » Tue Sep 08, 2009 11:12 am

Very deep 12 team league with 7 man bench and format that values middle relievers. Saves are the closest category in the league. Here are the choices to drop to activate beltran:

Fox (not starting even with soriano's knee surgery)
CJ Wilson (my handcuff for F Francisco)
Wuertz (great ratios)
Wheeler (my handcuff for Howell).

Keep in mind that in my league's format i can start all 3 MRs every day. My offense is really weak so i'm hoping to give fox one more week to try to crack the starting lineup. it just makes the most sense to drop one middle reliever. If i want to only play for saves, it makes sense to keep CJ/Wheeler and dump Wuertz. On the other hand, FF has been great lately and CJ's chances of getting saves seem to be dimishing.

Who would you drop? As always, WHIR.

Fox can hit, but unless Derrek Lee gets hurt, Fox isn't going to play every day, he's way too much of a liability in the OF. I'd drop Fox.

just to clarify, fox is my ONLY bench hitter. i would be dropping him and inserting beltran into the starting lineup (and benching one of my current starters). would you still drop fox?
