Keepers for 2010 WHIR

Postby PBeisbolJ » Sun Sep 06, 2009 11:28 pm

Hey guys! I'm a first time poster, long time sneaker. You guys always seem to have the heads up on what's good before it happens in the MLB. Anyways, I am in a keeper league. We recently upped up our keepers to 12. Well, this presents a bit of an issue for me since I am pretty set in 2nd place and have a very talented and deep roster. I have my own ideas of LOCKS for 2010 but would like input from the Cafe.

H2H - 12 Keepers
R, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, K, AVG, OPS
W, L, CG, SHO, SV, HLD, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, K/9

C - John Baker
1B - Miguel Cabrera
2B - Ryan Roberts
3B - Chris Davis
SS- Troy Tulowitzki
LF- Adam Lind
CF- Michael Bourn
RF - Justin Upton
UTIL - Josh Willingham
BN - Andrew McCutchen
BN - Troy Glaus
BN - Buster Posey

SP - Tim Linececum
SP - Rich Harden
SP - Edwin Jackson
SP - Tommy Hanson
RP - Neftali Feliz
RP - Bobby Jenks
RP - Brian Fuentes
P- Matt Capps
P- Billy Wagner
P - Hong-Chih Kuo

BN - Brett Anderson
BN - Joe Saunders

I'm thinking the LOCKS are Cabrera, Linececum, Lind, Tulowitzki, Hanson, Harden, Upton, Posey.

Now if you count, that's only 8, leaving me 4 open spots . . .

But I'm struggling between McCutchen vs. Bourn, Davis and Glaus' value next year? Wagner finding a closing option next year?

Thanks for your input. I've been playing for a while, I'll help you out in return!

I would think E-Jax is a must keep. And I would have no problem holding onto Crush Davis either.

1B - Miguel Cabrera
SS- Troy Tulowitzki
3rd- Chris Davis - should carry more value than Glaus next season
LF- Adam Lind
RF - Justin Upton
BN - Andrew McCutchen - has a better overall fantasy game than Bourn
BN - Buster Posey

SP - Tim Linececum
SP - Edwin Jackson
SP - Tommy Hanson
RP - Brian Fuentes
BN - Brett Anderson

I'm not much of a Harden fan just really hard to hold onto a guy that will probably only up up with around 20 or so starts.
