My line of thinking- Cano is having a really good season...but Kemp is rated 9th overall in my League. Cano is rated 24th. Kemp is also 2 year's younger.
I am currently in 7th Place...so I am looking towards next year in my moves.
We get to select 4 'Keeprs' for next season. Right now I would select these 4 guy's-
1. Chase Utley 2. Mark Reynolds 3. Matt Kemp 4. Justin Upton
Please feel free to opine on this trade for Kemp...and my 4 choices for my 'Keepers.'
Thank You

I agree with the trade and with your keeper selections. Basically you're done for the season so you choosing between Cano and Kemp as a keeper. I'd rather have Kemp, and since you already have a keeper at 2B (utley), it makes even more sense. Your 4 keeper selections look like the right ones, although I have a bad feeling about Mark Reynolds next year.
Def like the trade. I personally would keep Tulo over Reynolds. I really don't see Reynolds repeating these numbers next year and Tulo is easily a top 5 SS and you could argue that he is the 2nd best SS.

Agreed, and I think I'd try to package Tulo and Reynolds to someone in the playoff hunt for someone big. If they buy into Reynolds (which I don't) it could be a steal for you.

The Pirates have and always will be my favorite team. Roberto Clemente was an easy choice for my signature picture. He was not only a great baseball player...but also a very classy man. If you have time, and are interested...read the bio on Clemente by David Maraniss.
Excellent aquistion, Kemp is a future 30/30 stud and with Utley, cano was expendable. I like your keepers, but keeping 2 OF in a 4 keeper league, wouldn't be the best thing, I might go with Troy Tulowitzki over Justin Upton.
I agree with the trade, but not the keepers. Upton still isn't at his current potential, but I like Tulo at SS regardless. I buy into Reynolds, simply because he's put up huge number with horribly high strikeout totals. He's like Ryan Howard with tons more SBs and a few less HRs.
Like other posters I'm not sold on Reynolds as a keeper, especially when you only get to keep 4. I think I'd probably go with Tulo instead. I love that trade for you btw.
I think I like your 4 keepers. At first I wanted to switch Reynolds for Tulo, but I think Reynolds (even if he regresses) is still a late 2nd, early 3rd round pick. Also, I think Reynolds will take a step back, but still be solid. Tulo may be the 2nd or 3rd best SS, but I still don't think he matches Reynolds numbers next year (and 3rd wont be as deep either). Remember, he has been one year on one off so far in his career as well. Anyway, tough call on those 2.
Don't swap out Upton!
Last, See if you can trade any 2 of Kemp, Upton, Reynolds and Tulo for a top 5-10 player. Would make your desicion easier and you'd have better keepers! Maybe Upton and Tulo for Braun or Reynolds and Upton for Miggy or something....
