The GOP candidates in Mass are weak, the "best" I've heard mentioned is Mitt Romney's Lt. Gov, Kerry Healey, who I don't think is a strong candidate. But we haven't elected a Repub senator since 1972, so even Schilling would have a tough go. It would depend on who the spend crazy tax raising loon running against him was before I made up my mind.
His inexperience definitely works against him, but he certainly does keep tabs on current events, I don't think he's looking to cash in on his celebrity even though it would help him.
