Managed to put together a pretty good team this year despite losing some of my top guys early on.
Barring a disasterous last week, 1st place is mine (I'm up 10games with only one week to go). I've traded away some draft picks to deal with various injuries over the course of the season. Now I'm going to have to deal off my excess keepers to try get some of my picks back. Who do I keep and who do I look to trade away?? Im having a really tough time deciding. Here are the possibilities......
12 teams H2H 5x5 OBP instead of avg 8 Keepers
C McCann 1B Howard 2B Utley 3B Arod SS Bartlett OF Carlos Lee OF Kemp OF Damon UT Reynolds
SP JJohonson SP Verlander SP Oswalt RP Broxton RP Franklin P UJimenez P Wolf
BN FFrancisco,Smoltz,Blanton,JJohnson(BAL),Hudson DL Webb, Jose Reyes

C McCann - Tradable, just don't think he posses enough of a threat to be kept over any others 1B Howard 2B Utley 3B Arod SS Bartlett - Tradable, try to sell him for this years stats... OF Carlos Lee - Tradable, should have adequate trade value to a team with a week OF OF Kemp OF Damon UT Reynolds - Tradable because i don't like keeping a player that will be played strictly as a UTIL next year, and you can cash in on his great keeper status...
SP JJohonson - Tradable - i think keeping Verlander, Jimenez and Webb is a better trio then JJ over Ubaldo or Brandon... SP Verlander SP Oswalt RP Broxton - Tradable - not a big one on keeping closers, just too much risk... RP Franklin - Tradable - 'see Broxton'... P UJimenez P Wolf
BN FFrancisco,Smoltz,Blanton,JJohnson(BAL),Hudson DL Webb , Jose Reyes
I think thats a very solid set of keepers, because going into the draft you will only have to fill the C hole in the infield, a couple supporting OF bats (which we all know is easier then filling infield positions), and you have 3 aces lineup to form your starting staff around. A case could be made to keep either Reynolds or Johnson over Reyes or Jimenez, but quite frankly i think your best bet is to go in with a full infield and Jimenez who has nastier stuff then JJ... good luck!!
I have a different idea in mind and you'll like it, check THIS out:
C McCann 1B Howard 2B Utley 3B Arod SS Jose Reyes OF Carlos Lee OF Matt Kemp UT Reynolds
You have your entire offense covered minus your bench. I'd look at acquiring Zobrist if he's thrown back, maybe Derosa or Alexei Ramirez who can backup at multiple positions.
Throw all your pitching back and focus on pitching in the draft.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
Howard Utley A-Rod Reyes Kemp Lee Verlander Webb or Ubaldo
Webb if you're willing to risk that both Webb and Reyes return to form, Ubaldo if your not willing (which is cool). I don't think you can go wrong. If it was me, I would try to trade Reynolds for picks, as he could be a goldmine and you have the IF covered (and with Howard, a K machine, already rostered).
