3 seed, I advanced despite a bad week. Taking on the second seed, who I think is the only other really great team in the league besides mine. Winner of that matchup should win the whole thing, but it is h2h so who knows.

the trick to the whold H2H bit is having the regular season champ get some money. our league does playoff champ-50% of the pot, 2nd place 20%, reg season champ-20%, reg. season 2nd place - money back.

that way its still worth it to change lineups daily all the way through the season.

I would never, ever throw Anibal Sanchez out there during a playoff week unless my era/whip was already blown to pieces and I just needed counting stats like Ks and Ws.

Did anybody see how the umpires in that Boston/LAA game ruined Fuentes' night yesterday? It was ridiculous that Green wasn't called out on strikes at the end. He also struck out swinging a few pitches earlier and they missed that call as well.

Ruined my near-perfect ERA...it might come back to haunt me...especially when Greinke left his game early today.

In other words ... the exact position most teams with Ubaldo face.

I had one of those awful games where a series of late-game events all go against your team in the SD-ARI game yesterday. I was spot-starting Doug Davis, and was looking good to get a win. My opponent had AGon - who came off the bench to hit a HR and ruin Davis' win. And he had Bell, who came off the bench and stole the win to rub it in even more :-t

The missed call on ball 4 to Green was clearly bad, but I don't know how anyone says that Green didn't check his swing on that pitch earlier in the at-bat. They showed the view from the side during the broadcast and it was very obvious he did check it in plenty of time. I think the ESPN highlights only showed the angle from behind the pitcher, where Green's body language made it look like he swung.

That said, Fuentes only has himself to blame for getting into the jam in the first place with two quick walks, then needing Figgins to make a fabulous stop to prevent the tying run from scoring. Although I guess he can blame Juan Rivera for being the laziest mofo I've ever seen going after the game winning single.
