With Soriano at 2B, will Young be at 3B or out of the picture

Correct he has a starting job and while much is made of his not playing ss in years, I think it only raises his fantasy value

It's a good thing baseball isn't made up of defensive stats as Soriano would drop some I imagine, as would Young. However, have no concern Young will be starting and at SS.

His defense as a second baseman was top tier. If you want to knock him on his SS defense, go ahead, but it wasn't exactly his choice to play short, and he hasn't even shown he can't do it.

I think his fantasy value raises as well with dual eligibility. Buck Showalter was interviewed on the Dallas news last night and he mentioned that he felt the team would steal more bags this year, and if Young grabs 6 or 7 more than last year his value will really go up.

I understand that SS was his position coming up through the system, so he's going back to a position he knows already. The move shouldn't hurt his offense, and as has been said, he will have dual position eligibility, so he has more value fantasy-wise than if he had stayed at 2B.
