Hairston, subbing for Arod, boots a grounder to kill the perfect game; that should have been the third out. That gives an extra at-bat to Markakis who then singles for the first hit.

I just realized Swisher is a triple short of the cycle. He is 3-3 tonight so far.

Pettitte is still slaying the O's despite losing the perfect game. He is throwing curves and splitters that are making the batters look silly. He has a bunch of called third strikes, so he is deceiving them.
