How does Fuentes get a Save out of this? Angels were up by 5 runs entering the 9th. Kevin Jepsen started the 9th for LA before ceding to Fuentes who came in with 1 Out, a 4 run lead and 2 men on base. I thought that if the lead was more than 3 runs, the potential tying run had to come to the plate in order for it to qualify as a Save opportunity. With a 4 run lead and only 2 men on base, even a HR would have left the A's 1 run short of tying the game.
So.... how does this qualify as a Save???
EDIT: Answering my own question.... looked it up and apparently the potential tying run only needs to be *on deck*, not at bat.
