there's nothing left for him to do offensively in AA, so a call-up is probable. He should be able to stick at C over Marson. My guess is that in tribe traded for Marson as a backup plan.

I don't see why the tribe would call up santana up from AA (skip AAA) and start his clock this year since they are way out of the race. this is an unfortunate reality nowadays in the MLB.

I do think that Marson will be a backup. but I also believe that teams should take the best available package of players regardless of where they play and team needs. Now the team has an extra trade chip in Marson or Shoppach.
