And the Mets' fanbase breathes a collective sigh of relief. Tuesday's MRI revealed that Santana has bone chips his elbow that need some cleaning. It certainly could have been worse, but the Mets have nothing to play for, so perhaps this is a blessing in disguise. He finishes the season at 13-9 with a 3.13 ERA. Santana has four years remaining on a six-year, $137.5 million contract with the Mets.
