I have 2 pickups left for the end of the year, and can't make any moves after August 31. Should I pick up:

John Smoltz
Anibel Sanchez
Leo Nunez
Mike Macdougal

I want to get rid of Matt Palmer and Oliver Perez, who should I get?

is Nunez gonna keep the closer role? Is smoltz good again back in NL? Is Sanchez healthy and gonna stay strong? will the Nationals win enough games to justify Macdougal?

It looks like you hava good SP and could add RP depth. I really like quantitiy over quality in RP becasue you always have to overpay for elite RP and dont get too much more out of them. I'd grab MacD and Nunez...with the knowledge that Nunez may get bumped out the clser role soon. Keep an eye open and look for another cheap guy who can get you a few saves.

I'd grab Nunez. As far as I know he's still closing and i don't think there is any news of that changing. For now he'll add some needed depth to your 'pen, and Oliver is a waste of space.

As a Nittany Lion living in Sunny South Florida I say pick up Anibal and McDougal! Sanchez is in a groove!! Lindstrom is back and Nunez has not looked great recently...its uncertain in all of these cases but Sanchez is looking the best right now!

All 4 are better than what you have. What place are you in? are you looking for just this year or potential keepers. I don't think any of them are keepers, though Sanchez is the closest thing to a keeper of the bunch. If your looking at just this year I would grab Nunez and Mac...
