Keeper league 5x5: 12 teams (keep 8 at end of season)
C- Montero 1B - C. Guillen 2B - Cano 3B - Wright*** SS - Drew CI - Beckham MI - Sanchez LF - Braun *** CF - Rios RF - Kemp *** OF - Markakis *** UTIL - Hart BN - Rajai Davis, Teahan
SP - S Kazmir SP - Burnett SP - Wandy Sp - Ubaldo SP - Vazquez RP - Fuentes RP - Wood RP - Aardsma RP - Soria RP - Calero
BN - Baker, Latos, E. Santana, Bannister, Bud Noris
Which 8 do you keep? I know the first 4 without question. It gets sticky when trying to chose between pitchers and the last few hitters (I generally prefer to keep hitters).
In your case I would go with Wright, Braun, Kemp, Markakis, Cano, Beckham and Soria. I hate keeping closers but in your case I dont believe you have another automatic option. The last player is fairly difficult, but I would go with the safest bet and keep Vazquez. With Vazquez you will keep a workhorse who will give you a ton of K's and a very good whip. If you want a little more high risk/high I would go with Jimenez, but I believe you need to have an anchor for your staff and believe the steady Vazquez to be the best fit of the bunch.

thanks for the help one mine first off... now obviously the for sures are Wright, Braun, Markakis and Kemp. after those 4 i don't think its actually too, too hard, Cano has had a nice bounce back from last year, plays on a powerful offense and plays at a thin positions. so thats #5. Beckham has turned out to be a sweet addition to most teams and i think will do nothing but get better going into next year. thats #6. then #7 and #8, one of which i think is a no brainer for me to be kept this year and for years to come and thats Vazquez, hes a K machine and since joined up with Atlanta (move back from the AL to the NL) hes kept his ratios looking pretty sweet. and #8 you can't pass on Ubaldo Jimenez and take a closer over him. no one talks about him because he pitches in the best hitters park in the league, BUT for that same reason hes way overlooked. Jimenez is as solid of a #2 as you can add to your rotation and in some cases could be considered a low end #1. just for a little backup support here is a great topic in the 'baseball leftovers forum' that talks alot about Jimenez, check it out just to solidify your decision on Ubaldo as your #8 Keeper... viewtopic.php?t=396339
