Need 6 Keepers, Traditional Scoring, 10 Team H2H League

Postby continent » Fri Aug 21, 2009 12:40 am

I am having a very tough time deciding who to keep in this league.

It isn't an auction league, so no penalties in keeping big name guys over newer guys.

Here is my roster:

C: Ryan Doumit, Matt Wieters
1B: Adrian Gonzalez, Ryan Howard
2B: Ian Kinsler, Dan Uggla
3B: Ryan Zimmerman
SS: Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Theriot
OF: Matt Kemp
OF: Carlos Lee
OF: Adam Jones
OF: Shin-Soo Choo

SP: Roy Halladay, Yovani Gallardo, David Price, Scott Kazmir, Ubaldo Jimenez, Aaron Harang, Andy Pettite, John Lannan
RP: Carlos Marmol, Andrew Bailey, Jim Johnson, Trevor Hoffman

Start 1 at each corner position, 1 SS, 1 C, 4 OF.

I am leaning to Kemp, Kinsler, Zimmerman, Gonzalez, Howard, and Halladay. I can only keep 6.

I may be way off base with my keepers though, let me know.

Great looking team!

Keepers:
Howard
Gonzo
Kinsler
Kemp
Halladay
Gallardo

One thought. You have two very strong 1B. Can you move one of them for a Wright or HanRam? Then you could walk into next year with strength at core positions.

Good luck!
help w/ mine?

now this these 6 are without trades, but i really think you need to combo the hell out of this team because you can't throw that much talent back into the pool. someone out there wants one of if not multiple players from Gallardo, Price, Jimenez, Carlos Lee and Adam Jones at least, i would personally combo AGon with any of them for a TOP bat at a position elsewhere, most likely go over the top with AGon/Rollins/Jimenez for HanRam and then would also try Zimmy/Carlos Lee/Price or Jones for Longoria, lastly Halladay/Gallardo for Lincecum cuz Halladay is definitely keeper value worthy but im scared at to think what team he ends up on next year... get some value to upgrade your keepers rather then throwing back that value for nothing...
