Pythagorean expectation would put him around 9.49, but he continually underperforms due to factors beyond his control (he's unlucky). He starts off the blocks slowly due to inconsistent starting gun shots. Also, the track surface is such that it favors shorter runners.

yeah i guess it should get a slight bump ahead of soccer since it is much shorter. in general i hate all the track and field type sports and the entire winter olympics aside from Hockey and Curling

Curling is interesting. I wouldn't watch it every week or anything, but it's entertaining every four years. Same with most of the Olympic events. In the winter Olympics the short-track speed skating, and any of the skiing events where death is a posibility are worth checking out. Anything decided by judges instead of times or scores gets the bozack though.
