I happen to have this position, which given the format (20 team dynasty league) seems like a huge deal. In your mind, who is on the short list of players you would be willing to burn this on? This is a Yahoo league, so anyone not in the database now is fair game.

Oh, and we don't retain WW priority season to season, so I have to use it this year.

Pedro Alvarez (tearing up AA, will hit 3rd or 4th for the Pirates from 2010 to 2016 at least) or Strasburg if he signs.

Thanks for the help with mine. I think Strasburg is the obvious choice if he signs. Regardless of whether or not you want to keep him, the hype he brings will translate into a ton of trade value.

Strasburg is of course the obvious choice, but from what I've read it doesn't look like he'll play this year. I'm not sure I understand how/why players get added to the Yahoo player pool, but the only sure shot is if they appear in an MLB game, right? With that in mind, who else is looking like they'll get a cup of coffee that would be worth the #1 waiver in a dynasty league?
So far I've heard Pedro Alvarez and Madison Bumgarner. What about Justin Smoak or Jason Heyward?
