i got wright and volstad for ichiro and howard..i know sounds bad but hear me out...my team is in the dumps and looks like im out of the playoffs..this trade was strictly for next year and i was looking for a younger keeper....plus i was only keeping howard and ichiro was goning back to the re draft ...so the way i look at it howard for wright...my other keepers after the trade are wright reyes utley matt holliday and cruz or hamels ...so what do you guys think?

I think, if you are playing for keepers, I'd rather have Wright (better production, I think, at a harder position to fill) than Howard. Absolutely. I MAY have tried to see if you could have thrown enough parts at them to keep both Howard and Wright, but I can't fault the trade.

Same here. I feel like anytime you can get Wright it is a nice trade. I think his power stroke will come back and if thats the case he will be better then Howard next year. So for this trade the key components were Wright and Howard so in this case you made out.

Howard was hard to part with but 1B has a lot of depth, and players like Konerko who hit slightly fewer hrs but put up same avg should be available. Wright should rebound, if they bring in the fences in the off season he should be great, and I also think he is stressing trying to carry the horrific Mets offense this season.
help with mine?
