Who to drop to complete trade? - WHIR

Postby soty » Fri Aug 14, 2009 4:27 pm

Hey guys I am getting Rivera for Webb in a keeper and I need to know who to drop to complete the trade? As of right now these are the options I am thinking. Which one do you see as the best fit?

A) drop Brandon Inge - its nice to have flexibility but Ozzie said since he is still sore he will sit here and there
B) drop Gio Gonzalez - one of the hottest SPs but will it continue?
C) drop Dallas Braden - pitched good when healthy but how will do when he comes back? he already missed his first DL date.
D) drop Mike Gonzalez - yeah he has good #s but I already have 2 good hold options (Okajima/Bard). Plus if I keep he that will be 6 RPs with Rivera.
E) drop someone else not mentioned - if so who?

Huh I am a little surprised at your answers. I was leaning towards Inge actually. He hasnt hit since the break really and the news of him getting time off here and there kind of sealed for me. But now that 2 people have said Braden who has pitched well, should be back soon I am a little confused as to what to do?

Out of curiosity why did you guys say Braden over Inge?

I'll go against everyone and go with Gonzalez. My answer is contingent on you being able to keep Gio and Braden beyond this season, because they have higher ceilings. Inge is catcher eligible, and that's gold... PURE GOLD

FWIW I have no plans to keep any of them. Its just who will help me more this year. Gio, Braden, MGonzalez and Inge are not in future plans. I have plenty of other options since we only keep 7. I agree with you about Inge cause of his catcher eligibility, but that can only go so far if he doenst produce. Ha figures as I just read that Inge hit a game winning solo HR tonight 1-0. Looks like it might be Braden after all. :-?

Dallas Braden. Not much more, IMO, to be said.
