Is Mauer and Rollins for Reyes worth it? Does Reyes come back to form.

It's a keeper league. I have Tex, Kemp, Braun and Markakis. 4 keepers, 12 teams. essentially a keeper consolidation for me. Any help really appreciated. I need to do this tonight.

Reyes is done for this year, so this is for next year as a keeper. I would probably keep Mauer, Tex, Braun and Markakis and not make the trade. Reyes is great if healthy, but he is a risk for that. You have a running player, valuable for his legs, with a mysterious leg injury that has continued to keep him out for months when he was expected to be out a week. Mauer is as valuable because catcher is a position that is scarce. you would have the best catcher in the game and next year, though I'm a Mets season ticket holder and loves Reyes' game, you can not count on Reyes being the same next year (Boy I hope he is though).

Thanks for the input. I had a similar offer a few weeks back and did not pull the plug then for this same reason. Now I am completely out of contention, so I revisited it.

I will see what else is out there. Thanks.

Keep Mauer ... just as hard to fill as SS and at least he is healthy right now. Reyes could be a major gamble and the Mets just find ways to get hurt/lose.

So are you saying you only keep 4 players?
If this is the case and you are giving up this season, pull the trigger. Reyes is a first round talent and a four of Reyes, Braun, Teix and Kemp is stellar.

Yes, we keep 4, and yes, I am out of it this year.
