Do I do this mega deal? This may have overlap from an earlier post, but much has changed... I GIVE: Evan Longoria, Derek Jeter I GET: Matt Holliday, Michael Young, Adam Wainwright, and Jonathan Papelbon (i'll throw in Masterson to keep him away from teams playoff bound) My projected 6 keepers right now: Pujols, Utley, A-Rod, Longoria, Sabathia, Halladay So if I do this, I keep Matt Holliday instead of Longoria. Bolster my rotation and pen for this year. only thing is that I can keep Longoria for 2 more years, whereas the other guys I can keep for one more year. But make the play for this year? stat categories: R, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG -- IP, W, L, CG, ER, ERA, K, SV, WHIP My Team: C M.Wieters 1B A.Pujols 2B C.Utley SS D.Jeter 3B A-Rod OF J.Damon OF N.McLouth OF J.Werth UT E.Longoria UT N.Morgan UT B.Butler B Griffey, K.Suzuki SP Sabathia, Halladay, Greinke, Billingsley, Oswalt, Blanton, Duke, (and Masterson and Holland temporarily) RP Broxton, Street

For this year I like it for you. Holliday gives you the same if not better numbers for the remainder of this year. Plus, depending on where he signs, he could rake next year. I'd say go for it. We play to win. Especially if this deal puts your competitors in a worse position. Good luck. Your help is appreciated: viewtopic.php?t=396019

I agree, This year, you will make out for sure, and if Holliday signs in a good hitters park for next year, you are in just fine for next year. Do it!
Please help with mine:

Bump Anyone else think this deal is worth doing? I like Jeter a lot, but probably not keeping him as of now...

Anyone else? It's either this deal, or: Longoria for Holliday and Wainwright or stand pat

Win this year, that should be your motto (especially if you're close). That being said, I like the deal for you. With Arod at 3b already you can afford to deal Longo and pick up a blazing hot Holliday.
