12 team H2h 7 player keeper league. Can't keep a player selected in the first 2 rounds

offered to me : Javier Vazquez(10th rd) and Grady Sizemore(drafted 2nd rd)
for my Matt Holliday (drafted 7th round)

I'm weak on pitching and in 2nd place in my division with 3 weeks before playoffs. Top 2 teams from each division make the playoffs. Is Javier a keeper next year...I considered Holliday a keeper but would lose him and not be able to keep Sizemore. Sorry for the winded post but would appreciate anyone's advice.

Morneau, Justin 1B MIN
DeRosa, Mark 2B STL
Rodriguez, Alex 3B NYY
Ramirez, Hanley SS FLA

Holliday is the best player in this deal (and he's keepable).

is the upgrade in your pitching staff worth the down grade in your lineup for this year and the future?

i say no. Holliday is top 2 round talent, that you will be able to hang on to essentially forever. He's worth more than the upgrade in your staff. In addition, it's a H2H league and pitching stats in H2H are so variable anyway. you could have a staff of Johan, lincy and CC and still lose to a mid-tier staff.

no deal for me

thanks for the help with mine

Why couldn't you keep Sizemore? Holliday's the better player this season, but Sizemore will be more valauble next, after he has offseason surgery on his elbow. If you can keep Sizemore, and can take the hit on offense for the season I'd do it. Vazquez is very underrated.

I would have one question have before making a decision.

Who are the players on your team currently that qualify for keepers?

Do you get the keepers in the round they were drafted in (after the 2nd of course) or are keepers going in round 3-9? Right now I'll say no deal though. Keeping Holliday in the 7th is incredible value. And he's hot right now so ride that through the playoffs.
