a trade didn't go through

i had a pending trade: my Konerko for Peavy. it didn't go through because the Peavy owner forgot to move him from the DL before the trade processed.

My question is, in yahoo, can the commissioner just place the 2 players on the receiving teams? or does it have to go through the normal process again? we have a 3 days period for vetos, then it processes, then the next day it is reflected ion the lineups...... 5 days total from the time it is excepted.
