Just opened up a roster spot and need to know who to add. Pick one & why:
M. Cuddyer (MIN - 1B, OF) - been raking Dexter Fowler (COL - OF) - will get me steals, and is actually hitting now Chris Coghlan (FLA - 2b, OF) - been on fire this past week+ Rajai Davis (OAK - OF) - getting a ton of hits & steals
Brett Anderson (OAK - SP) - not sure I need another SP, but has been very good
Below is my roster as well: c: Sandoval 1b: Prince Fielder 2b: Utley ss: Michael Young 3b: Wright IF: Cano OF: Kemp, Markakis, Damon Utl: Stephen Drew BN: McCutchen, Berkman (DL) SP: Hamels, Haren, Verlander, Harang, Price, Wandy Rodriguez RP: Capps, Soria, Howell, Nunez This is a H2H Yahoo! NON-KEEPER league with the scoring cat's as follows: Hitters: R, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, K, PO, A, E Pitchers: W, L, CG, SHO, SV, BB, K, NH
Cuddyer for me... he has at least proven in the past that he can do this on a weekly basis, the other guys (outside of Fowler but won't pick him up with the log jam in Colorado) have been up and down all year (coghlan) and davis isn't guarenteed a spot if he starts struggling...
I had him and let him go, and I regret it. He's been swinging a hot bat and good to put in when the Yanks rest Damon. He gets rest already and will get even more if the Yanks really put some distance between them and the Sox.
Cuddyer has similar numbers to Damon so is a good replacement when needed.

Isn't Cuddyer on Minnesota?
all things being equal, I probably COULD use some help in the steals category too. Would you still put Cuddy ahead of the rest?

Yeah why?? Damon is on the Yankees. You can use different players from DIFFERENT teams in fantasy baseball.

While no one is guaranteed a starting spot, the A's are obviously trying to assess their young players. They don't have enough OFs for Davis not to get time, especially with the way he has been putting pressure on the defense with his speed. He would have to start swinging with his eyes closed to lose regular ABs.
Fowler though, could lose ABs in COL, either because he struggles or because they are trying to win and will go with the hot hand in a crowded OF.
Basically, if you need SBs, go with Davis. If you need pop, get Cuddyer.

i don't know as much about the Oakland outfield as most others but what i do know is yes Patterson's demotion helped but im basing alot off of the Cafe's own Rajai Davis thread in the Leftovers section...
