We keep 6 and I have Bay and Vazquez as options. I'd like to turn the two into an upgrade over Bay, otherwise I will keep him.
The question is what players would you rather have than Bay in an OBP keeper? I'm looking for a clear upgrade so if its close to a wash I wont bother as a Sox fan.
Also, I could land ARod but am holding out for better. Is that reasonable?
Here is a list of the guys not on my team I'd prefer to Bay. Let me know what you think and add or subtract as you see fit.
Rodimus, its not just an OBP league. Its 5x5 roto with OBP instead of AVG.
I have next to nothing else to deal other than Bay, Vazquez, and Soria. I have dealt all my talent to improve my keepers.
For some reason I am concerned that ARod will never be the same. I think taking him in the top 5 next year is a stretch. I might be alone here though. I am seriously considering it.
My biggest rival has Wright, Sizemore, Upton, Kinsler and Braun and says he'll likely deal Wright for Bay and Vazquez if Bay heats back up. I was hoping to hold out for this deal as I prefer Wright long term to ARod.

I understand it's not OBP only. lol I was answering your question which was OBP, which includes many important factors as you know. Bay had the best start of his career and is coming back to earth so I was never too high on Bay. Wright playing at Citi doesn't look good. No HR's, and he's on pace to double his season strikeouts.
I'd go for Braun, and I don't mean the paper towel.
I think I absolutely would swing the deal of Bay and Vazquez for A-Rod...as long as it does not destroy your pitching for this year, assuming you are in a playoff/points hunt.
Pujols is the number one OBP guy in the league, so if you could get him that would be huge...not to mention that he is just an all-around fantasy stud. However, I am not sure that a Bay/Vazquez will get that done for you. After that it goes Fielder, Utley and Wright for the top 4 OBP guys on your list. Another thing to consider would be to go after the number one pitcher in the league, however; with 5 keepers I am never a big fan of keeping more than one pitcher, but may make an exception with 6 keepers. If you can get A-Rod, do it...unless you can get Pujols, Fielder or Utley. They may cost a little more at this point, so buying a little low on A-Rod would be better served.
"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."

Brilliant. Thanks for your help.
Thanks!!
I guess that's why they call it Fantasy. You can fantasize about getting players you'll never land.
I'd love to most of the guys on your list too but with what your offering, good luck.
