Braun or Lincecum?!

Postby Trovan » Tue Aug 11, 2009 11:58 am

I'm in a 12 person league with standard scoring and was recently offered a trade that would make me send over Ryan Braun but receive Tim Lincecum. Should i pull the trigger?

Heres my lineup:
C Brian McCann
1B/3B Mark Reynolds
1B Garrett Jones
2B Chase Utley
2B Brandon Phillips
SS Rafael Furcal
2B/SS/OF Alexei Ramiraz
3B Aramis Ramiraz
SS Yunel Escobar
OF Johnny Damon
OF Andre Ethier
DL Carlos Delgado
OF Ryan Braun

Felix Hernandez
Roy Oswalt
Matt Garza
Gavin Floyd
Joel Pineiro
Jered Weaver
Francisco Liriano
Andrew Bailey
Jim Johnson
Jeremy Affeldt
Phil Hughes
DL Justin Duchscherer

I feel my pitching staff is weak so this might be a good trade. Thanks in advance!

We need some more info. H2H or ROTO? Keeper or 1-year league?

The answer to those question make all the difference.

But personally, I usually stick with the elite bats over the elite pitchers.

I agree. Would you get another OF? Who?

I certainly wouldn't do it with the info you've posted, and probably wouldn't unless other top players are involved...

Help with mine?

I'm sorry. It's a H2H 1 year league.

Thanks for your time!

if your only other OFers are Ethier and Damon then no, Alexei has been soooo up and down and injuries and all kinds of crap i don't think your bats could withstand that.... but i will say this...

i can't say do it for these reasons... your SP staff really isn't that bad its strong 6 deep, maybe not 2-3 ACES but strong up and down... 2nd reason, aram is potentially headed back to the DL so that means your going to have to use Reynolds at 3B and start Garrett Jones, and third if you trade Braun your left with Ethier and Damon as true OFers and Alexei when he comes back healthy from injury... that being said why don't you combo the likes of Brandon Phillips/Garrett Jones/Furcal and get a replacement 1B and a top arm or top OFer, then i would be more able to say yes to trading Braun for Lincy... but until then its a no for me...

Great thanks to soto for the sweet sig!...
