TRADE J. Upton in Keeper League?

Postby cmj10us » Tue Aug 11, 2009 10:37 am

One manager in my league really wants my J. Upton to rebuild his team.
Even though I'm currently in a playoff race, I would like to keep him as a keeper but he gave me a really good deal.
I would get - J. Hamilton and C. Billingsley
I would give - J. Upton
Would you guys do this deal in a keeper league?
Thanks!

That depends on how many you get to keep, mostly if Hamilton and Billingsly will be keepers for you. If you can keep both and there are no restrictions on the years they can be kept I'd make the deal.

We keep 8 players in the league.
I think I will keep H. Ramirez, A-Rod, B. Philips, A. Soriano, J. Upton, and A. Wainwright for sure.
And I have to choose two of J. Bruce, G. Soto, J. Weaver, and F. Liriano.
Would you guys still do this trade?

How many teams in the league?

I'm a big fan of Hamilton and has a huge upside, as does Chad. It's a no-brainer to me.
He's dealing Hamilton now at a low price because of his injuries/slump, pounce while you can.

Knowing all of that I would make the deal.

That would give you H. Ramirez, A-Rod, B. Philips, A. Soriano, A. Wainwright, Billingsly and Hamilton for next year. In addition, if you are in a playoff race, Hamilton is back while Upton is on the DL and may be for the rest of the season. I would hold onto Bruce or Weaver for your 8th...not knowing the categories.

Who is better in a keeper league, A. Jones or J. Hamilton?
