Hey guys i am in a 20 team H2H league basic scoring on Yahoo...this is a keeper league and we are allowed to keep 10 guys for the 2010 Season, i was offered Joba Chamberlain for my #1 Waiver claim for the 2009 season. As it stands right now this is my team.

as you can tell my pitching staff is horrible...that is mainly because i stream pitchers..however next year the league has implemented a 4 moves per week limit, so i should start looking at getting a good pitching staff, so would you keep the #1 waiver and hope a young stud comes up or trade it for Joba Chamberlain

Especially in a 20-team league, I'd take Joba for the #1 waiver. Sure you might miss out on the next big prospect by not having the #1 waiver spot, but there are also plenty of "next big thing" guys who reach the majors and then do nothing. You're just as likely to waste your waiver that way. If you can get someone like Joba who you know will post respectable, if unspectacular numbers, and have a lot of support behind him to get Ws, I think that's as sure a thing as you're going to get for a waiver claim -- and it bears repeating again here that you're in a 20-team league, so his value has to be increased by how stretched out talent likely is in your league.

If you have a chance this year, yes. If not, prospects may come up that you'd want the #1 waiver claim on.
But not enough so that, if you a chance this year, you don't go for it.
Help with mine, as I don't have a chance for this year:
