Big trade here because it will significantly change my team. 10 team 5X5 Roto Keeper, next year we are keeping 5.

I am in the middle of the pack, but I really think I have a shot at it. I just traded for Broxton and Street yesterday. I am way behind in saves, and I am in 2nd in wins. Trailing in ERA and WHIP by a lot and K's towards the top of the pack. I feel that Haren is starting to whither away in the 2nd half as he usually does. The innings that K-Rod and Soria get me should be equal is not better the rest of the way IMO. The only thing I am losing is Wins. What do you guys think?
Leave a link and I'll help you out! Thanks buds!

I have a hard time believing you can't buy saves a little cheaper than that. Haren is a top-tier pitcher. I would see if you can't swap him for a lesser SP and a closer to address your need for relief pitching without going from a top-tier guy at SP1 to a waiver wire option.
Listen guys, I think this is a good idea for me. The way I see it..... K-Rod and Soria the rest of the way = 80 innings 80 K 1.10 WHIP 3.00 ERA 30 saves Haren: 80 innings 80 K 1.20 WHIP 4.00 ERA
The second half swoon has already begun. I would be dropping Smoltz. Am I crazy here?
eh keeping only 5 with all those arms (sabathia, hamels) and your stacked offense, this is all you need. smoltz should go pull the trigger. you have an illegal team all you need is saves, go for it.
get the saves and then flip one of baker or wandy and an OF for Beltran before he comes back.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
I am not too familiar with roto leagues, but if you are way out of contention for wins then this trade makes logical sense. It looks like a great win/win trade however, I think Haren is better than you give him credit for.
If you really need Saves and are good with Wins, then sure do it. i think you may be overestimating the impact of KRod & Soria innings & Saves wise and may be overestimating Harens potential down the stretch...but you seem set on making the deal, and when it comes down to it, it makes sense.
I'm never a fan of buying saves, no matter what situation. They should be so easy to find in all but the deepest of leagues. You should be able to trade a lesser pitcher like Wandy or Hamels for lesser known, but just as effective closers.
dealing the #1 rated starting pitcher for 2 closers just sounds like a bad idea... i guess it makes sense though with your team... since its a keeper too, id also factor that into my decision. it seems like youre set on this trade bc of harens typical 2nd half slide but i think u might be able to get more for him... i dunno, i guess its a judgement call but id be hesitant to pull the trigger here
