Aramis Ramirez Pt. Duex

Did Aramis leave the 9/8 game due to shoulder issues that shelved earlier this year?

It does not sound good at all. I didn't expect this considering he had been doing well.

DENVER (AP)—Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez(notes) left the game in the fifth inning against Colorado Saturday night because of soreness in his left shoulder and will miss Sunday’s game.

However I don't about being the same injury.

He said the shoulder has been bothering him most of this season.

He missed time due to a dislocated shoulder so if its been bothering him all year its not exactly the same thing. :-S

Eeeeck!

I grabbed him as a freebie off waivers. It is just that now, I have to make a decision to grab Blaclock and drop Aramis or Soto.

It's the same shoulder. I don't see any reason to not think his current pain problems are related to the earlier dislocation. We just have to cross our fingers, and hope the pain goes down with a little rest. I suppose this isn't surprising. He was doing awful this week, after being on such a tear. His 1-for-18 this week is just destroying my team. Sucks that I didn't read about this until too late on Saturday - I'm stuck with an 0-fer in my Sunday lineup (I would've needed to drop someone to pick up a backup 3B).

Has anyone heard if he got a cortezone shot today?

Obviously this is very important for leagues that have a weekly roster freeze.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Aramis Ramirez (shoulder) could be headed back to the disabled list.
Ramirez will be examined by team doctors Tuesday afternoon before any official decision is made. He aggravated his left shoulder Saturday and is dealing with a pretty significant amount of soreness. ''I thought I was going to be ready [Monday," said the third baseman. "I took treatment the whole day [Sunday], but it's not good enough to play." Aug. 11 - 10:18 am et

Let me see if I have this right. According to the updates that I've read, ARam's shoulder is fine ... but he's missed two games in a row (and counting) because of a head cold? :-{
