We all know that he's in the bullpen now and for the rest of the season.
However, where do you guys think he'll be next season and beyond? Personally, I don't know much
about him and have heard conflicting statements as to whether he is the Rangers closer of the future
or a SP.
What do you guys think? Closer or a Starter long term?

Thanks to SmooveThug for the Sigs!

I think they'll do what they can to make him a Starter as he could be a #1 or #2 (and they desperately need SP), but definately has the stuff to be a dominant closer should the SP experiment not work out

I think he'll end up being a closer. He has great stuff but from what I seen it's best if he only goes through a lineup once.

He's only 21. He has time to mature. I think he ends up becoming a pretty solid starter, if the Rangers are patient enough to wait 3-5 years for it to happen...

His future? TJS. Book it. His delivery is violent like that of Volquez.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

TommyJohn then a 5-6 year stint as a top closer before his elbow explodes.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Well hopefully they can get 4-5 years out of him before the TJ too ><
But yes, the rangers current plan is to convert him back to a starter in the offseason, nolan ryan said so.
He was great again tonight by the way. 4 up 4 down, 2 ks. Hit 101 4 times on gameday, 100 4 more. On the year he has 17 batters faced, 16 retired (including 1 error). Just the one HR has reached so far.

I was under the impression that he had a good delivery?
