Why did the fart didn't Hughes start the top of the ninth after getting the last out in the top of eighth ?? 8-o

Girardi brings in his closer Rivera? In a 0-0 game? After using Hughes for just one out? WTF!

I wouldn't have yanked Burnett with two outs in the top of the eighth with a one-hitter going .... but for fart's sale, if you're going to bring in Hughes, let him work a few outs! Apologies if Hughes hurt himself or something, I was watching at the local bar with picture only.

Gawd I loathe Jonathan Papelbon.

It would have been good to use Hughes for another inning in retrospect, but no way do you leave in Burnett. He had 118 pitches already, so if you don't expect him to pitch a full ninth, there's no "bonus" to the one-hitter through eight, not that baseball decisions should be made on the basis of things like that anyway.

Insane game though.

There was an interesting stat brought up in this game, that of Arod's 19 homers this year, 10 either broke a tie or otherwise gave the Yankees a lead (now it's 11 of 20). How does that fact, and tonight's epic walk-off, change the perception that A-Rod is not clutch and his numbers only pad existing leads?

I would have loved to been there, booze or no booze!
