This trade just happened in my 12 team league. I think it's an awful trade but wanted to hear from the crowd.

Team A (1st place) trades Jim Thome and Joe Blanton.
Team A (1st place) receives Mark Texeria
Team B (12th place) trades Mark Texeira.
Team B (12th place) receives Jime Thome and Joe Blanton.

Unless the 12th place team can make a big comeback, this is unfair and is a rare instance where I think a veto is in order. Certainly not justifiable if it is a keeper league.

I rarely say that veto should be used, but in this case it def should be!! :-t

I would even go as far as suggesting that they're prob cheating! Just awful!

I'm in a non keeper league and we have a rule in place that teams that are eliminated from playoff contention are not allowed to make trades. Perhaps you should suggest this for your league.

Someone is throwing the season. How does your veto work. League? Outside commisioner? Web Site review?

thanks. it's a non-keeper, commish review league. The trade has already gone through so there's not much I can do about it but stew and wish for some bad karma on the first place team.

Was the commish just completely sleeping on this trade or was he involved? Not a very good commish.
