Closer's losing their jobs? WHIR

Postby mjoyce103 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 10:39 am

Hey guys,

I'm going to finally cut ties with Kuroda and was wondering if anyone has any insights into closers on the brink of losing their jobs. Keep in mind that anyone who has been consistently closing games, regardless of the reason (e.g. CJ Wilson) is already on a team, so I'm basically just looking for guys who are "next in line" with closers ahead of them who are on shaky ground.

Any ideas?

WHIR!

Check the closers thread in Leftovers. That's probably the best place to look for speculation. The only thing I can think of is that, while Frasor seems to be the main guy in Toronto while Downs is out, the team has talked about getting League some opportunities (and maybe Roenicke, but he's apparently 3rd in line). So League is one guy, and you could always gamble on Macdougal blowing up in Washington (Burnett seems to be the most popular speculative add).
