weird double play terminology

Possibly... Runners on first and second, then a ball hit in the whole and the 3B and SS converge so the Pitcher covers 3rd and SS fields and throws to the Pitcher covering 3rd and then the pitcher risks trying to get the lead runner and guns to 2nd for the double play? Very unlikely bc the runner going from 1st to 2nd would hafta be slower than Bengie Molina but im sure it "could" happen.
