I would like to see your draft order and how you got these guys. I have to agree that you must be playing some guys who have no clue what they are doing.

I traded away all of my depth to get this team, The Prior owner was scared about is Achilles and Anderson's owner was scared as well and I got both Relatively cheap through trades. I also got Abreu for JD Drew, which I admit was probably a little shady on my part but the other owner proposed this to me. His reasoning was ST stats so far.

We have a bunch of Cubs haters in my league so I was able to get Wood in the Fifth Round.

I also got Rolen for Texieria straight up because one owner had both Chavez and Rolen and needed a 1B desparatly.

Round 1 - Soriano
Round 2 - Pedro
Round 3 - Manny
Round 4 - Renteria
Round 5 - Wood

Trades like that immediately after the draft are questionable. Why did these guys waste their early draft picks on those players in the first place if they were so desperate to unload them for mediocre talent in exchange?

Abreu's SB

2001 - 36
2002 - 31
2003 - 22

Good job in showing me that Abreu's SB totals have been declining each season. Certainly does nothing to disprove my point.

Considering he'll get at least 22, that's a lot better than most players. You excluded Abreu when mentioning SBs.

Plus, Bowa said he'll be giving him the green light more often. Point = Me.

point=me? who says he will get at least 22? first a decrease of 5 sb the a decrease of 9, who is to say he won't get 15 or less this year. the older a slugger gets the less he likes to run, and the more he starts worring about hurting himself, Abreu is just another example. point=Baseballer02

Both you guys overlook that he also has Soriano, so he's definitely got bags covered, which is a point that's completely overshadowed by how unrealistically good this team is . . .

Not only does he have Soriano but he has Roberts on the bench...Speed is not a problem.

If you think Abreu steals only 15 bags this year, I want to be in your league.

my point wasn't about whether or not he has any speed, i really could care less. my point was about the downward trend in abreu's career, note i never said i predicted he would be stealing only 15 bags, i was mearly making the point that it isn't garenteed that he will steal atleast 22 bases was ignoring the numbers.

We had the draft a while ago, so the trades weren't right after the draft.
