Which closer would you rather have for the rest of the year? Looking at trades involving both and I can't decide.

Do you need the saves or the peripherals? Soriano will post a better K/9, and Franklin's WHIP is not sustainable. Franklin, however, will be graced with abundant opportunities closing for a contender, and he's been getting the job done nicely all year. I say grab Franklin if you're looking for saves, Soriano if you need the peripherals more and you're already amassing a decent amount of saves to win the category each week.

i'd have to say soriano. save opps are a total crapshoot (even for contenders). atl's pitching is decent enough that they should play as many close games as STL. soriano is a flat out better pitcher who will also post dominant peripherals. soriano all the way.

I would rather have soriano. He gets more k's and will be lights out.
