Utley has a better OBP, Braun clearly takes the power numbers. Utley has 4 more steals on the season but they have attempted the exact same amount. Braun has a better average, same amount of RBI's and 11 more runs (in the less effective lineup)
Correction, got hits mixed up with runs, he has 11 more hits not runs.
Ok exactly HOW does Braun 'clearly take the power numbers'? Utley has 2 more HR and exactly the same RBI numbers?? that doesn't show me, first off Braun even winning in the power numbers game, and more over clearly taking the power numbers... if you read the poster said its a standard 5x5 scoring league which for bats means R, HR, RBI, SB and AVE, not OPB, Hit totals, SLG or OPS... then you throw out that they have attempted the same amout of stolen base attempts but Utley has 4 more, what was that point your trying to make exactly? obviously that Utley is the better base stealer as his 12/12 and Braun is 9/13...
to just polish off my point beacuse really stats don't lie... Ultey wins in Runs (by 2), Hr (also by 2), SB (by 4) and tied in RBI, Braun wins in Ave (by 9 points) sooo if you put that into record form Utley is 3-1-1, Braun is 1-3-1, both are damn good players and damn good keepers, but overall Utley is the more polished all around bat (which is more of what you are looking for in roto) then Braun is PLUS he plays 2B a position that outside of the top 10 in talent and stat wise drops WAY off, very unlike the OF position... ive pointed out my case and its proven that Utley overall carries more value then Braun...
