Kinsler fill-in? A.Cabrera OR L.Castillo? WHIR

Postby Trebor » Mon Aug 03, 2009 11:27 am

ok, need to check our setup below before deciding. i NEED BB's and AVG, 2 cats ive been losing regularly lately...BUT, all told Cabrera offers more all around, while Castillo probably hits the cats i need.

Cabera (better overall + SS elig) vs Castillo (couple cats i may need)?

who to add?

Honestly, I would probably pick up another starter. Your rotation looks weak, whereas 2B/SS are actually pretty decent with Zobrist and Theriot, even with Kinsler on the DL.

A Cab will get you a few more HR and RBI's but i think the difference if pretty minimal (Cab's only got 5 HR all year and 46 RBI's) If you need walks then Castillo is going to get you close to twice as many if they both keep up their current pace. Both hit for a pretty good average.

Considering your needs I would go with Castillo but both are pretty good options for you.
