Team losing ground HELP -- WHIR

Postby theinflatinator91 » Mon Aug 03, 2009 10:00 am

10 Team H-2-H League. Im in 4th and top 4 make the playoffs. Team has been shitty since break. I was 5 games back about two weeks before the break and now I am 36.5 games back of third. This team has been really struggling. Make a trade to spark things up? 36.5 is not as bad as it sounds since there are 30 categorizes but I still feel that I have lost a ton of gound

Who to trade what to look for?

hitting categories - R, H, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, TB, E, AVG, OBP, SLG, PA

pitching categories - IP, W, L, CG, SHO, SV, H, ER, BB, K, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, K/9, QS

My Team:
C Bengie Molina
1B Mark Reynolds
2B Brian Roberts
3B Michael Young
SS Hanley Ramírez
OF Jason Bay
OF Curtis Granderson
OF B.J. Upton
Util Alexei Ramírez
Util Justin Upton
BN Michael Bourn
BN Ben Zobrist
BN Jason Bartlett
DL Lance Berkman

SP Justin Verlander
SP John Lackey
SP Roy Oswalt
SP Yovani Gallardo
SP A.J. Burnett
RP Brian Wilson
RP Francisco Cordero
P Frank Francisco
P Jim Johnson
BN Clay Buchholz
BN Jorge De La Rosa
BN John Smoltz

OMG thats a lot of categories. With that many, its really hard to analyze a team without all the stats. I do know that Bengie Molina kills you in BB and OBP. Honestly, I think you need another power bat in your lineup. Your pitching looks fine and your offense is alright but lacking some power. Good luck with all those categories. You must need an hour just to analyze the situation.

Your team doesn't look too bad. Is this a keeper league? If not, I might try to package BJ Upton and Reynolds for a big OF bat. It looks like you have plenty of speed and Upton isn't doing much this year. Berkman should be back in a week or so.

Hold for now. If anything, try and 2-1 with your excess SS and another positional player to seek an upgrade, like Molina + Bartlett for McCann if you turn that. Otherwise, hold. This is a powerful team, it should be able to right the ship sooner rather than later.

Help on mine? viewtopic.php?t=395206

I agree, your only real weak spot is at catcher IMO. Otherwise, I think your team should be ok...maybe in a little bit of a slump, but should by all means compete for the top spot

thanks for helping with mine as well
