I have a ton of closers and need some SP and speed.
This is the first offer I got after posting a message:
John Lackey and Chris Volstad for Nathan and Helton (do not think I should do this). This guy has Cliff Lee, Billingsley, and McCutchen that I am interested in. I think I should part with Ryan Franklin among my closers(just do not trust him). What do you all think??
I am in a head to head stats league. The stats are:
hitting - R, H, HR, RBI, SB, Avg.
pitching - W, SV, K's, Holds, ERA, WHIP
My roster is:
C Jorge Posada
1B Mark Teixeira
2B Jose Lopez
3B Aramis Ramirez
SS Rafael Furcal
IF Jhonny Peralta
OF Jermaine Dye
OF Juan Rivera
OF Andre Ethier
OF Garrett Jones
Util Bobby Abreu
BN Todd Helton
BN Scott Podsednik
DL José Reyes
SP Roy Halladay
SP Derek Lowe
SP Gavin Floyd
SP Ricky Nolasco
RP Joe Nathan
RP David Aardsma
P Ryan Franklin
P Joakim Soria
BN Carlos Zambrano
BN Ryan Dempster

John Lackey and Volstad seems pretty legit for Nathan and Helton. I might ask him to replace Volstand with McCutchen and see if he'd bite on that. If he's offering you Lackey, there's no need to seek the riskier Billingsley, or the lower-ceiling Cliff Lee. Definitely pounce on converting Nathan, a stud closer by any means, into a stud starter.
Help on mine?
