Trade Beltran? WHIR

I get to keep 4 players after this season and Beltran may be one that I would keep, but I have many other options. I'm in second place and surging. I would like to trade Beltran to a team that would definitely keep him next year for someone healthy. Beltran might come back in 2.5 weeks, but the reports are vague and he wont be 100%.

Should I trade Beltran for Ellsbury? I'm sixth in steals and have a chance to pass a few people if I add Ellsbury. This would also allow me to put Beckham at SS to continue my strength in OPS.

As the saying goes, flags fly forever, and since you are in 2nd and surging, I would put all your chips in and trade Beltran for someone that can help you in the stretch run. I also wouldn't bet that Beltran comes back anytime soon, and even if he does it will take him awhile to get into game shape, and you can't really afford some down production from him in a playoff run.

Finally, from looking at your lineup, I don't see Beltran as a keeper for you. ARod, MCab, and Halladay are locks for me, and then I would have no problem sleeping at night if I kept JJohnson or even Hamels over a Beltran that's on the decline. Just my 2 cents.
