Which SP to add for the stretch run??? WHIR

Postby kailromanoff » Sun Aug 02, 2009 3:22 pm

Looking for 1 more SP to use only in favorable matchups. Pickings are slim, but a few decent options are there and a few guys pitching well that I'm not familiar with are there also.

Pettite
J. Sanchez
Niemann
Holland
Kuroda

I'm tempted to go with Pettite for the predictability and Ws and just be prepared to use him sparingly, but are any of the other guys worth a flier?

kuroda has a pretty good whip and k/bbi ratio - with the team that he pitches for I would expect more wins from him in the future.

Kuroda or Pettite for me.

help with mine

I would go with Pettitte as he is clutch down the stretch. But, if not go with Kuroda as your second choice as he does put up nice peripherals and plays for a great team.

please help

Pettite has been very good since the break, his K rate is up, and he has a shot to win every time out, I'd go Andy.
