did i say the Jay's are better without Halladay? NO. are Halladay and Manny even comparable players? NO. they play 2 totally different roles on their respected teams,

You missed the point. Both Manny and Halladay are elite players that contribute a lot to their teams. The fact that the teams did well in a small sample size of 2 weeks (Halladay's case) or 50 games (Manny's case) is meaningless. In the long term, the teams would be better off with them instead of guys like Brian Tallet and Juan Pierre.

seriously Halladay is struggling as of late but these 2 aren't even in the same category.

Yeah, Manny is a legitimate Hall of Famer, and Halladay isn't.


I mean...Manny Ramirez has a .965 OPS right now. That leads his team by a wide margin. I can't believe people are bashing this guy.

i think i would take a guy who bats .320+ and gets on above your power hitters to create runs, rather then a power bat that is barely hitting .280 with what 7 dingers since the ASB? come on Weir lets be real...

You want to take a career 1.003 OPS hitter and replace him with a career .721 OPS hitter because the 1.003 OPS hitter had a mediocre month. And you are telling me to get real? Bahaha.

well they were doing pretty good with pierre during the suspension.

meaningful stat simply because they were doing just as good with Pierre a guy thats getting paid what ratio of what Manny is getting paid? he has 13 homers in 255 ABs thus far, i don't care if hes batting .306 hes supposed to be the 'big bat' in that lineup and hes not doing jack. then add to it the fact that his defense is horrid that just makes the powerless manny that much worse for what hes getting paid.

and wow singled home the tying run, so whats happening in the past 2 series (including last nights series opening against the Rox) against teams they could possibly be seeing in the post season? 3-game series at home against the Cards, 4-game series at home against the Cubs and 1-game thus far at the Rox hes batting 7/29 (.241 ave) with 3 runs, 2 rbi and 1 extra base hit, 5:4 K:BB. yeah thats exactly what they are wanting out of him! hes a joke...
