I'm having a hard time placing his long term keeper value. He had a decent year in 07 (but not exactly top 5 2b) and was a dog last year...but this year (although he has slowed down lately) he is on a 30+/100/100/.280 pace...what type of hitter is he over the long term? Does he have legit 30 hr power or us this year an illusion?

Career year. Less chance he repeats.

Going forward I think he is still what people thought he could be going into this year....I think his power surge is due to a huge increase in his HR/FB %. I think '07 is a good gauge of what he is with maybe a few more hr as he is at that age where the power is near its peak.

I agree with your preditions.
Hill is definitely a solid keeper. He should be a top 60 player for years to come.

His keeper value is a lot higher than his trade value, I'll tell you that. I've been shopping him around my keeper league for the last two months. To keep him will only cost a 23rd round pick, and yet nobody is interested. They all say he'll "come back down to earth". IMO he's top 5 2B next year (at least top 7). Now I'm moving B. Roberts, who even though he's having a bad year, has more trade value than A.Hill.

That makes complete sense because Roberts is much more proven then Hill is...now, if next year Hill repeats this year, then you can talk about him being a top 5 2B.
