cbssportsline.com has the ability to let players trade out of league continue to get stats.
My league is a keeper, and our rules state that once you own a player, if he is traded, you are allowed to keep him for the remainder of that season. You can't keep him next year, unless he pulls a LaRoche and is traded back to the NL.
If you have a player who left the league, and you drop him, no one else can pick him up. But you can trade him.
