Wright/Fielder/Bills for Aramis/Lincecum/Holliday WHIR 100%

Postby Hit Factory » Fri Jul 31, 2009 12:49 pm

I am in a small 8 team 5x5 roto league. I want to upgrade power and pitching. Here is the deal I am thinking about proposing:

I give: David Wright
Fielder
Billingsley

I Get: Aramis
Lincecum
Matt Holliday

Is this a fair deal and would I benefit from it? WHIR 100%
My current team:
Russell Martin
Tex
Utley
Wright
Peralta
Justin Upton
B.J. Upton
Ichiro
Kemp
Util: Prince Fielder
Util: Adrian Gonzalez
BN: Kendry Morales

Wainwright
Billingsley
Heath Bell
Street
Jurrjens
Oswalt
BN: Bedard
BN: James Shields
DL: Peavy

I would do this deal, but with Aramis on fire right now, will he?

I think this is a pretty good trade for you. You get the best pitcher in bball but no real power benefit. Aramis in on fire right now and I like Holliday in St Louis, but at the very best I say they equal the power you lose. Still, though, I think the trade helps you and you should go for it.

I am tempted to say any deal that lets you unload Wright, do it (he and his 6 HR are killing me in one league)...I may be in the minority here, but IMO any deal that gets you Lincecum I would do. I do like Fielder but he is cooling off and I think we have seen the best of him already, and I don't know what to make of Bills. It is a fair deal and I would do it.

Thanks for help on mine.
