I'm about ready to cut Webb since it seems he'll be out for the year. Who would be a good replacement on the DL and for this season? Tim Hudson, Edinson Volquez, or Justin Duchscherer?
I was thinking Hudson but their rotation is solid and where would he fit ?
Thanks in advance for any help

2 scenarios...
1. agree with you about Hudson to a point tho... with all the trades going on if Vazquez is dealt (which seems to be in the rhelm of potentially happening) Hudson's value thus jumps as there would be a void he could fill in the rotation then, also if Hudson potentially gets traded himself, Jurrjens and Hanson i believe are locks in the rotation for the rest of the year... so basically i would pick Hudson if... 1. Vaquez gets traded, 2. Hudson gets traded or 3. Lowe or Hanson (guessing Lowe before Hanson) move to the pen...
2. if none of that works out in atlanta i would snatch up Volquez, for right now i would go with Volquez for the simple fact that none of that has happened yet and you would want to take a garentee over possibilty... so snatch up Volquez and ride him out, if the Hudson deal changes up over that period then grab Hudson over him...
i rank them value wise:
Hudson
Volquez
Duch
Scenario wise:
Volquez
Hudson
Duch

Great thanks to soto for the sweet sig!...

Thanks, with Volquez last year and he looked somewhat good this year even though not as good as last year which is expected upon his return he shouldnt be a bad option and like you say is guaranteed in the rotation unlike Hudson and Duch.
But this is all depending if Webb is out for the year but even if he isnt is he worth 4 cautionary starts in September
Thanks a bunch!

I'd grab Hudson. Rumor has it that Kawakami would be sent down, as he's currently struggling. Volquez would be a close second, though. His raw stuff is fantastic.
